Suncoast Registry

You are probably already in here.

We built the Suncoast Registry out of the Florida DBPR public license file before we asked anybody to join it. If you hold a contracting license in Sarasota or Manatee County, there is a good chance your business already has a page: your license number, its status, and the date we checked it. You are not creating an account here. You are taking over something that already exists, and it costs nothing.

Claim it

One email. Tell us the business name and the license number so we can match you to the right page, and tell us what to fix. There is no form, no password and no card, because there is nothing here to bill you for.

Claim my listing

Free forever. No card, no trial, nothing to cancel.

Not on the list at all? Send us your business and license number → We check it against the state record before it goes up.

How you got in here without signing up

Most directories are a list of whoever paid to be on it. This one started the other way around. Florida publishes its licensee file. We read it, kept the businesses licensed to work in these two counties, checked each license number against the state record, and published what we found with the date we found it.

You did not have to do anything and you do not owe us anything. What is on your page is public record: your business name, your license, and the city that license is registered in. No home address, no reviews you did not earn, and nothing about your insurance, because we have not seen a certificate and we do not pretend otherwise.

Why your page looks thin

This is the part worth reading. The Florida DBPR licensee file carries your business name, your license number, its type and status, the dates, and a city of record. That is all it carries. There is no phone number in it. No email. No website, no hours, no photos. Not for you, and not for the 4,200 businesses on this site.

So a bare page is not a verdict on your business. It is the state record, printed honestly, with the gaps left visible instead of filled in with a guess. Claiming is how the gaps get filled, by you, with the things only you actually know.

What claiming changes

Two things: you correct what we got wrong, and you add what the state record does not have.

  • Fix anything that is wrong — the business name, the trade, the city.
  • Add your website.
  • Add the number you want homeowners to call.
  • Add the towns you actually work in. Right now your page shows the city on your license, which is where the license is registered, not a service area you told anyone about.
  • Add your hours.
  • Add photos of your finished work.

What claiming does not change: the license record and the Verified mark. Those come from the state, we check them the same way for every listing, and nothing you do or pay moves them.

Free listing. Not a free trial. Free.

No card, no countdown, no starting-at price. The listing is free today and it stays free, and there is nothing to cancel because you never signed up for anything. We can say that plainly because it barely costs us anything: the license checks run automatically and the page is a plain file.

Placement, if you ever want it

Placement is paid. Verification is not for sale. Paying moves where you sit on a page. It changes nothing about your license record, nothing about the Verified mark, and nothing about the date we checked it.

Free — $0, forever

Your listing, your license record, and everything you correct or add when you claim it. This is what you have right now.

Featured — paid placement, $49 a month

Your listing sits at the top of your trade list, above the free ones, carrying a visible label saying it is paid placement.

Exclusive — paid placement, $199 a month

Two seats per trade per ZIP code, and the cap is hard. When both seats are taken, nobody else in your trade can buy one in that ZIP at any price. It also carries a visible paid placement label.

Nobody is buying placement today. Not one listing on this site is paid, in either tier. When that changes, every paid slot will say so in plain text next to the listing — and the license record next to it will read exactly the same as it does now.

Straight answers

Can I pay for the Verified mark?

No. Verified means we checked your license number against the Florida DBPR public record on the date shown. That is the whole claim. Money does not move it and never will.

Do you sell leads?

No. We do not sell leads, we do not take a percentage of a job, we do not charge homeowners, and you are not bidding against three other outfits for the same call.

What is the catch on the listing you built for me?

There is not one. Your business name and your license number are public record. We published them, dated them, and named where they came from.

Who runs this?

Suncoast Registry is operated by Cibbee. The footer says so on every page, and so does the advertising disclosure.

Want off the list?

Then say so and it comes down. One email, no argument, no retention call, and we do not put it back on the next records pull. You do not have to claim anything first, and you do not have to explain why. Ask us to remove your listing →

Same address if something on your page is simply wrong and you would rather we just fixed it: tell us what is wrong →
