This is a list of businesses that hold a Florida license to do contracting work in Sarasota and Manatee County. We built it from the state's own public license file, not from sign-ups, so most of the businesses on it have never heard of us. Verified means one thing and it is a narrow thing: we checked the license number against the Florida DBPR public record, and the date we checked it is printed on the listing. Where we cover
Two counties, Sarasota and Manatee. That is the whole map, and we would rather cover two counties properly than twenty badly.
The towns inside it: Palmetto, Parrish, Ellenton, Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, Lakewood Ranch, Longboat Key, Sarasota, Siesta Key, Osprey, Nokomis, Venice, North Port, Englewood.
Those are place names, not links. We have not built a page for each town, and we are not going to put one up before there is a checked list behind it.
What the city on a listing means
City of record is the address on the Florida DBPR license record. It is not a service area this business declared, and it does not mean they do or do not work anywhere else. Source: Florida DBPR licensee file, pulled 8/11/26.
So a listing that says Bradenton is telling you where that license is registered. It is not telling you the business will or will not drive to Venice. When a business claims its listing it can tell us the towns it actually serves, and that gets published as its own statement, labelled and dated.
